It really is a very poor design on these tractors, and it looks like you have found a way to improve it. I didn't realize the couplers varied.
I plan to see if I can do the same for a 7210. It's only about 3600 hrs, but the coupler was very worn, and I replaced it maybe 500 hours ago. The shaft is worn too, so of course it still is much looser than it should be.
There was a post here a long time ago about being able to replace the input shaft without splitting the tractor. That would be awesome. Maybe someone has bookmarked the post or can find it and repost.
