That looks much better. I bet it was more difficult to reinstall with it being longer. Is there any chance it is too long and will "bottom out" on the transmission shaft when the tractor frame is twisted? With the engine mounted in rubber, it will move around some.

What I have done a few times is use a 7410 coupler, like you have shown, and install a grease fitting. I also install a steel cap where the end of the splines are (toward front of tractor). With that installed, the grease is more likely forced around all of the splines instead of spilling out the front.
