No way would I ever consider using the stake bed pockets of a regular bed for what your proposing. I might not consider using the stake pockets on a flat bed either. If it must be portable look into one that goes into the receiver hitch on your truck and has a way to support some of the load to the ground. Plus the receiver hitch will have a lot more strength to resist the twisting force from the lifting arm.
