Subject: Gleaner combines

Northeast Missouri
Currently running a case IH 1680 and a 2188. Wanting to upgrade atleast one this summer to a Gleaner that could handle an 8 row cornhead and a 35’ Draper.

I demoed a used s88 two years ago and really liked it, but the s77 sized machines seem to be about half the price. Were there that many upgrades on these newer models to make them worth that much more? Any big issues to look out for on the early 2010’s machines?

Will be taking out 2,500-3,000 acres a year of corn beans and winter wheat. Will probably trade the 1680 off and keep the 2188 around as a backup incase whatever newer machine we buy goes down during busy season.
