Wheatley, Arkansas		That isn't correct. A blanket will keep them warmer.

One thing a blanket will do, if you put it on before the horse grows a winter coat, is keep it from growing one.

Most show horses are always blanketed to keep a short shiny coat on the horse.

A blanket will also keep a dark horse from bleaching out in the summer sun.
