Pittsburg, Kansas | Here is one I am listening to with kind of one ear while talking to wife and I think I am going to have to listen to it again. Some good stuff in it. Controlling blood glucose is only half of controlling the diabetes problem. Controlling insulin is also just as important, but just not as easily monitored. The medical community's only focus is controlling the blood glucose and they mostly use pills and insulin to control it (although many of the newer diabetes drugs are using different pathways). So making one aspect of the disease better while worsening another (that is less obvious and not universally agreed on).
Anyway I think this interview has some interesting points by Dr Robert Lustig.

Warning: It is VERY long. But a lot of interesting points by a very intelligent researcher. Picking up several points I have never heard before. 62% of medical costs are paid for by the federal government. Just one of the things I had not heard before.
