kentucky | Thanks for the replies guys. I’ve run green back when I first started farming but Red ever since. It’s not that I am anti red anymore,, mostly just seems to wear out fast,, cost gets pretty high to maintain and I’m just not into trading regularly. With that said, I did trade a Caseih 8250 last year for another, the one I had I bought with 362hrs and after 325 more it had some unusual problems. Lots of metal fatigue and cracking all around the machine,, radiator housing was cracked bad,, had to field engineer it to get by until we finished. I’m looking at a new s98,, just seemed simpler and less parts to keep up. I did go through and price some wear parts for it just to compare to my red combine,, I really felt like the overall maintenance would be less costly | |
