We have a S98 and have been life long gleaner owners. The 9 series is by far the best gleaner yet. We have always thought they built a good reliable combine but I feel when they built the 9 series they finally listened to the farmers and fixed some of the little things that drove us nuts. The 9 series offers a Quiet cab, lighting system that makes night harvesting enjoyable, an air conditioning unit and radio that actually work. The combine just runs, very very little down time. The smart cooling and reversing fan are great features and are exclusive to Gleaner which improve fuel efficiency. The perforated pan allows this combine to have a better sample and even less grain loss than older models. I would put our grain sample and grain loss up against any other brand. I really wish they would extend the frame of the combine because it does get tight for a person to go in between the engine and the rotor door. I appreciate the fact that all the bolts are standard not metric.
