| I’ve been hurt by planting too shallow, this year being one of those times. I can’t say I’ve ever been hurt (yet or been able to attribute it to that) by being too deep within reason.
Did see a study on corn planting depth a few years ago in 1/4” increments from 1” to 4” deep. If I recall correctly 2.5” was the winner with pretty much everything between 2 and 3 being pretty much a wash. Less than 2 and deeper than three things went bad quick. | |
