I have 60 cows plus 18 bred heifers and all the yearlings. I used to feed corn silage and round bales, about 500 bales a year. Now I feed haylage and corn silage plus round bales, but now I only feed about 100 round bales a year. With the haylage it is much faster to put up than dry hay and the cattle's condition is also much better.
Is Silage worth it?
