 Leesburg, Ohio | I reluctantly let our drone guys spray on a really windy day last year. Less than idea conditions, but the fields were mostly surrounded by our own woods, and the wind in the open areas was blowing away from neighbors.
I was very impressed with how the pattern held together and reached the target crop (wheat).
Spraying from a lower height than is possible with either a plane or a helo makes a big difference.
Yes, there are still limits, but after seeing them in action, I say if a ground rig can go in the wind, a drone can go in the wind. | |
