NW Indiana | Yesterday I seen 50-80% of the entire fields curling so far from just the light ground. The light ground is starting to really take it hard. Went from perfect stands to extremely uneven. The bean stands may actually be the most alarming. All that said I drove an hour north yesterday and things looked a lot better not that far away. Their yards are turning but the crop wasn't showing the stress so I would guess a week behind my area. The forecast I'm looking at sure isn't showing this patter change. Personally I think predicting a pattern change is rather bold because I don't consider this east wind the pattern, the pattern has been dry for nearly a year in much of the cornbelt. It was early May when I said my gut was this was going to be a problem and that this wasn't 2012 because of the difference in temperature but the dryness was likely to continue. You shave 10+ bu off the May corn yield and 3+ off the bean yield sure would make some interesting markets.
