NW Tennessee | We have a `95 model 8200 2WD with approx. 8000 hours on it. Probably the best tractor that has ever been on this farm, IMO. Literally almost zero repair costs, other than routine maintenance, until last spring. Broke a little chain link type piece inside the transmission that connected the clutch linkage, therefore tractor wouldn't move. Had to split the tractor and replace that little link, maybe a $10 part. Wasn't happy with that design, but it happened. I don't know how common this is, but it was the first one I had ever heard of. While split, we had them go ahead and go through the clutch packs. So that $10 part ended up costing us well over $5,000, due to the decision to go through tranny. So, IMO, a 8000 series tractor with 4500 hours should have a lot of life left in it.
