That is kind of the way I am. If I can understand how something works, I am more likely to believe the doctor or other person knows what they are talking about. Of course often it is above my pay grade and comprehension level so there is still room for being led down the wrong path. But it tends to be the way I work also. Now my wife is more of a nuts and bolts "what do I need to do" and not so much into the technical explanation of how it works. Different people respond differently to types of educational information.
