I had a '96 model, they never could get the transmission to shift smooth in all the gears, if under load the tractor would hesitate for a second or two then make a really hard engagement on the next gear up, understand they got that fixed in '97 and newer tractors. That tractor also had some engine problems which wound requiring a short block to fix but I think that was a rare block casting flaw.
