Lost the ability to change from bath to shower with this Delta faucet, so I disassembled the center diverter and discovered that the stem was broken. I went down to the hardware store and picked up a replacement stem, then put it back together. However, no matter what I do I can’t get it to stop leaking around the stem and running water around the base of the knob. I’m stumped, about the only thing I can come up with is that it’s the wrong part…it’s a Danco 7S-10D diverter stem that says its for Delta faucets. I have run into issues with replacement parts that weren’t made by the faucet manufacturer but this was the only one available.
