Aberdeen MS
And that is anticipating full results both positive or negative after your first year experience.

2006 is when I made the switch. The farm is in eastern Renville county/western Sibley county. The soil has been described as "tiger crap"... it sticks to almost everything when moist.

Mike bought my Gen 1 units when I switched to Gen 2 units. A few revisions were made from my experiences with the Pluribus units. My set up was vastly different from any that was "standard purchase" from Dawn. I worked pretty close with Joe after about 3-4 yrs in to get the units to run good in those soil conditions.

One thing to note... the year of strip tilling begins with the combine in your area. Residue management is key to making a Pluribus work well. controlled traffic is the second area to pay attention to. As the years go on, your fields will take on more of a no till attitude. The Pluribus functions as providing an excellent seed bed giving real good seed/soil contact and nice warming conditions for good germination in your area. Your soil biologicals will improve over the years and will show up on your soil tests for projected nutrient availability.

I've been retired now for 10 yrs so I haven't kept up with the progress of strip tilling in So MN like Mike has. The concept tho is solid, give it time to develop.
