Subject: RE: Dawn pluribus strip till reveiws

Walnut Grove MN USA
I had a gen one version that I updated to the gen 2. Had springs for down pressure but had the bigger arches and dual depth wheel with swirls. I really like Dawn Equipment and have met and talked with Jim and his son Joe who now runs the company. Joe is a really smart engineer. However I am going to recommend going a different direction. They are a good spring strip machine but not so good in the fall. The years I had it I couldn’t get it to stop making chunks. It was never a problem in the end but I feared one day that would bite me bad. Had issues pulling straight too. Sometimes off as much as 2 feet. They have trouble in southern MN heavy black soil, outside of this area they work great. There is a lot I’m not going to bring up here. I have been running a Soil Warrior for 8 years now and have no plans to change that. That is twice as long as any other machine has stayed here.
