Must have been crappy bearings. We had the same White 6100 planter for ~20 years, never changed a bearing on a marker. Did have to straighten them a couple times though....
I've told my brother more than once, I will not own a planter that doesn't have markers. Even when the GPS is working good, there are times that it is just plain easier and faster to drop a marker than screw around with guidance lines on the screen.
