What ever ended up happening? We have a 6410 that had been doing the same thing, I added some Archoil fuel additive I've started selling to the tank a few weeks ago and it hasn't acted up since.
I ended up with a new pump, new injectors, and readjusted the valves. The new pump has that extra sensor on it for cooler weather starts. It works just great. But the darn thing is louder than the old pump. You Deere dealer should have the info about the new model pump. It was less money than originally quoted but I don't remember the total.
