Curb stop valve is the commercial name for the ones used in cities and rural water districts.
What we did was to run a home run line from every drinker and hydrant back to the the house so I can shut off anything on the yard while keeping everything else active. The only downside is I have 13+ lines coming in thru the basement floor.
