Did grandpa have a favorite breed? I'd paint him to match that. If not, repaint him in the original color(s) it was when grandpa had him. Don't put him too close to the road. Local yucksters might paint parts of his anatomy blue when it gets real cold. Seen it happen to a larger than life fiberglass bull near here one winter.
