Subject: RE: Massey 5711 vs John Deere 5090m

Jeffersonville, OH
Massey 5711 comes as a Standard transmission, and a 5711D which is the Dyna 4 transmission. Both are good, better than the Deere apparently with how many M series Deere's we've traded for, but the Dyna 4 is a GREAT transmission for that size range and the money. We sell as many as we can get at the moment, which is only 3-4 5711D's a year.

The 5711S or SL, or the 5600 series tractors are a whole different animal, absolute Cadillac of a utility tractor. The 5711/5711D is the Global series, mid spec model while the 5711S/SL and 5600 series tractors are the premium, high spec model, since replaced by the 5S Series of tractor.

Massey doesn't have as many "letters" of tractor as Deere, but it can still get confusing.

Chris
