I downloaded 3 counties of 2006 USDA color compliance images this week.  The file size for a county ran from 640 Mb to 723 Mb.  They took about 2.5 hours per county to download on a wireless broadband connection.  I did not look to see what the resolution of the images was, but they are very detailed.  I then loaded the images into EasiSuites (which was a very painless process).

The first image is 2 miles wide.  The picture was 1 Mb before I reduced it for posting.  The second image is of a 34 acre field.  It was 96 KB and I reduced it to 74 kb (800x600) for posting.  This image was taken in mid to late June.  It is a field of wheat that has been double cropped to soybeans.  You can see the passes from the 30' bean drill.
