You are looking at a hose machine for all the wrong reasons. Its so you don't have to make a trip to town, not to splice a rotten hose with incorrect fittings to crimp properly.
I will say i wouldn't be able to farm without the hose machine.
Absolutely. Most of the people posting here will not actually benefit from a hose machine unless they are located to or have the need. We are 30 miles round trip from the nearest dealer with a hose machine. They are not accommodating in any way after hours, after 3 on Saturday etc.
Got ourselves set up with a gates system through the nearest distributor. We make hoses for neighbors when the need arrives and enjoy being able to make hoses when we need. There is a lot of markup in hoses and fittings, but to make it work for you, you need to be pro-active, stock what you use a lot of, etc. A lot of people who buy machines I bet never actually gain a $. |
