NE | Just thinking, and my position is definitely way different than yours without knowing any specifics but, I had an 800 gallon machine and progressed to a 1000 gallon machine and my productivity increased immensely just on that. One man operation here and maybe you have plenty of help but I like to be able to go out to outlying fields ( 5-15 miles away) without having even someone nursing me. I’m stubborn, I don’t like to ask for help but I will make two trips from 8 miles away by myself to finish a field. I have actually thought of getting a bigger machine (1200-1600) just so I can do that from my home place without as many trips. I can’t imagine doing it with a 400 gallon machine. I figure I can travel 30 mph with my machine and nurse myself quicker than getting someone set up to nurse me. | |
