Callao Missouri | You are looking at a hose machine for all the wrong reasons. Its so you don't have to make a trip to town, not to splice a rotten hose with incorrect fittings to crimp properly.
To answer your question. I have gathered weatherhead U series collets on ebay years ago. Probably spent $400 over a year gathering 1/4" - 3/4" collets and the rest of the stuff to make it work. I use my shop press for the crimping power.
I get hose and fittings from A&I. I however believe that discount hydraulics is a bit cheaper. I am just in the habit of remembering the a&i part numbers and it's easy to step outside the shop door and place an order on my phone to re fill when a fitting gets in low supply.
I will say i wouldn't be able to farm without the hose machine.
