Binbrook, Ontario | Not totally answering your question but, we have one that is portable (runs on air, Continental brand). But it’s very heavy and awkward to fix a hose that’s underneath a bill tank on a planter for instance. Also there are many brands of hose and many brands of fittings that you crimp. It would probably work in a pinch but you really should know the crimp specs for the fittings you are using on the hose that you are splicing. This isn’t very easy information to get. Like I said if you eyeballed it and made sure you didn’t over compress it you should be good for a bit but I have always found it easier to take the hose off and back to the shop, that way if you don’t have the exact hyd end I have a drawer full of adpapters that I can make a hose quickly and be ready to install back at the field. | |
