Earlville, NY | Eighteen thousand seems awful high. Typical freestall barns will have around 75-85 ft2/cow including drive-through alleys etc. so you'd need almost 1.5 million square feet so about 43 acres. I suppose that could be possible according to some who mapped the barn. I couldn't find any new info this am at 6:00, just articles from yesterday.
