scil
I have a Raven flow meter connected to a 440 that I use for sidedressing 32%. The applicator belongs to the coop. I temporarily install the flow meter and a strainer between the pump and the distribution line. This adds about 3 feet of 1" plumbing that acts as an accumulator. There is some oscillation of the rate. However, to get a more accurate value of applied rate, I divide gallons applied divided by acres applied. Just note field area and field volume when you change the setting. Plant four or five acres, then note the new values in field area and field volume.
