Illinois-Ontario
I researched all the brands before deciding on a 268B Cat. One of my requirements was that it had to have all pilot controls and needed power. I bought a new wheel machine and put an after market rubber track system on the machine before it left the dealer. I am running the unit here in the north country, working in the bush, blowing snow, backhoe ect for three years and have been happy. ASV makes the track system Cat uses on their new machines and from what Cat told me, it works fine for lawn work, but would not last in heavy use. Also, looking at the ASV machines, they just appear to be cheap, compared to some of the other brands. All that is just my opinion and others will have their brand loyalties. Good luck on whatever you purchase.
