I burn the same fuel in my reddy heater as I burn in the tractors, winter diesel. For my use it works just fine but don't do it in a well closed shed or the exhaust fumes could be a problem (health hazard). In the big machinery sheds with high ceilings and ventilation its not even noticeable when I'm using the heater to warm up a cold tractor or grain auger engine.
Actually I have never even tried kerosene so can't comment if there is a difference in the two fuels, other than price.
