West Central Iowa | I repaired a 580SUL for a customer a number of years ago (2004) that had the very same symptoms. The transmission pump was bad in it. I believe it may of also damaged the torque converter as we had to replace it also. If I remember correctly it seems as though this is a some what a common problem. The Case construction dealer in Omaha had the pump and torque converter along with the seals and gaskets in stock. This unit had 2411 hours on it at the time and had seen pretty good care. It was not to bad of a job to pull the tyranny and repair it. Total repair bill for parts and labor was just a little over $2100.00 at that time. | |
