a friend of mine told me (he works for shell)said that all kerosene is number 1 but not all number 1 meets kerosene standards meaning that it might not be refinded /filtered as much, or you could say that jet fuel is really number 1 but is refined way more than what we would need for an diesel tractor engine or bullit heater he also said that todays usld number 1 is refined alot more than the number 1 that we were getting 5+ years ago and would have no problem useing it in a indoor kero-sun type room heater also said he would NOT mix gas with diesel to put in any type of heater
