stay away from the 3950. Friend of mine bought one brand new could not keep the thing together. Bearings kept going out all over the it. 496 was and still is a great disk. When he got the disk delivered they had to take half the hoses off and go back to the dealership because they were never crimped. broke several blades during the two years he had it. It also had a round bolt for the gang instead of a square one and it was hard to keep the gangs tight. it did a good job of getting the ground level and didn't have any cracks show up so can't complain about the frame. If you can find a good 496 i would go with it over the 3950.
