I haven't had the need to do this in many, many years, but I always used to burn #1 diesel in a Knipco. It will smell a tad bit more. I would wonder if a blend or #2 might not work, especially if below zero?? Anyway, I used to heat hog buildings with Knipcos on # 1 diesel. Burned THOUSANDS of gallons w/o issues.
