Wheat after corn needs some residue management. Vertical tillage would be helpful. I say, Spread a fertilizer and seed wheat blend and vertical till it in. Maybe 25% of the total volume of seed wheat. Then drill the wheat soon afterwards. Otherwise plant the wheat following soybeans.
