I have been using the free version of "Avast One" for many years ( guessing 5 - 10 ) and have Not had a problem with viruses. Very happy with it. Maybe just lucky but don't think so, think they make a very good program and it's Free. Many years ago I used Norton but felt that it actually slowed down my computer. After I switched over, do not notice anything like that.
