If you want to burn fuel, some guys north of us run twin 454 chevy's pulling 1000 gpm from probably 3-400 ft down.
Lucky for me, I've only got an 80' well with water normally at 20' so one engine does the trick for me. A couple years ago the crew that sleeved a well said static water level was 2' down, which explains why water was a foot deep on the other side of the field.
