Why are the wells that costly there? I just had a 620ft 10" well drilled here, and if you don't include the fracture trace/ec testing for deciding on the drilling location, the cost was around $70k. I think it was 50-60ft before they hit limestone, then at around 4-500ft they were through the limestone and into the harder rock.
