Subject: RE: A Better Way To Wire Up A Raven 450 Controller Question

Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn.
I've seen the idea of using 110VAC plugs for DC connections for situations like this. I strongly oppose this since some person unknowing might plug in a "real" 110VAC source or device. But to each their own.

I prefer using Weather Pack connectors with a consistent wiring pattern (Pin A-12 Volts, Pin B-Ground) and wire color Red-Constant 12V, Orange-Switched 12V and Black - Ground. These connectors are readily available, cheap and dependable. I use these even with my tractors that came with Deere's Power Strip. I attach some Weather Pak leads to the nice terminals on the back. Then I don't need to purchase the expensive Deere plugs unless I want to.
