Thanks for posting. Your hay looks really good and I’m sure you’ll be very pleased with the results. I’ve been bale grazing since 2020-2021 on a much smaller operation. Down to 30 head this year.

My takeaways are that you do have dead spots the first year and running a no till disk drill through the dead spots can pay off. I planted a sorghum Sudan mix but I don’t know what I’d plant in your climate.

Last year we were in a severe drought but where we bale grazed easily had 3-4x the growth where we hadn’t bale grazed. It’s “weedy” but my cows eat most of the weeds.
