I think bale grazing works best if you get enough annual moisture to break down the left over residue. Here it will kill the grass a lot of years unless you can do it someplace that really needs the organic matter.
I could sure see that being a problem if they leave too much residue behind, but these cows are cleaning up 90% of it. There isn’t even enough left to stop the sun from hitting the ground in most cases. 13” annual precipitation here. I’m interested to see what the aftermath looks like when it gets rain on it |
