If I remember right, 12 row is right on the edge of needing an alternator. You can get by without it but if it were me I would probably put it on. 58 amps isn’t a huge load but carrying it from the batteries to the back of the planter is a good distance. Probably be fine 90% of the time but on a hot night late in the season with the lights on and ac cranked, you’ll be just about maxed out on alternator capacity.
