The declining response in zero till will also be because of the bacteria has already been put in the soil. I would think that after your land has been done once or twice with either jumpstart or tagteam, you will start to see declining response. Since it is marketed as a fertilizer replacement, it is seen as something that is there for only one season. However, since the bacteria was isolated from western Canadian soils, it will survive in the soil almost anywhere. So since it is in the soil and stays in the soil, after the second or third time around the response above the check will get less and less -not because the product doesn't work, but because its in the soil and helping the check as well.

It is supposed to make available P that is not (mostly that is tied up by Calcuim) The bacteria works by acidifying the area near the roots, which causes the P to become available. So in some soils you are making available some P that would never have been used before. Some areas of western Canada have 100's of lbs of P that is unavailable to plants because it is held so tightly to the soil.
