| I bought my Black Machine new in 1989 with Kinze units. It has been a very reliable machine with very few minor problems. I have learned that you have to maintain the air pressure in the small drive tires or you will have tire problems. You could get almost any brand of planter unit that you wanted-I've even seen one with Deere vacuum units. The guy that had it told me that he did it because someone told him that it was impossible to do-quess he showed them. Parts are still available through AGCO, but our local dealer is a PITA to deal with. I sure hate to deal with that parts gal--therefore, I get as many parts as possible from Deere for the units, as they are the same as the old JD 7000 units. | |
