North Central Kansas | If I remember right we would do 88 bales in a stack. 3-2-1 stack. 40X100’ roll of black plastic. Pile dirt around the edge to hold the plastic down. Stack bales on ends to hold the ends shut. It works better when it is warmer but will work when cold. When you get ready to use it we would let the bales air out a few days before feeding them. Some cows will devour it and others won’t touch it. This newsletter tells about the rate to use. https://enewsletters.k-state.edu/beeftips/2022/07/01/consider-applic...
You will need a pipe with holes drilled in it and a cap on one end and a nh3 fitting on the other. Try to fill tank with an amount close to what you will need. Open valve and let it trickle in.
I would crunch the numbers at these prices. | |
