 | I started lifting weights a month ago.  At age 37 after an endocrine tumor, I had lost muscle mass and gained too much belly fat.  I eat more protein, bigger breakfasts, more fiber, less sugar and flour.  
 I didn’t get out of shape overnight and I won’t get back into shape overnight but I feel mentally and physically better, hurt less, and am more mentally and verbally positive.
 
 I tried to play weekend basketball with the 20-year olds but got shin splints, so resting up to try again after losing some more weight and building more strength and flexibility.
