Subject: RE: Weight loss/diet help

coast of Maine
For over 50 years I could eat anything and not gain weight.Got older and got a belly from excess carbs and maybe less rapid physical work.Started reading what John Burns and others posted here.First did it strict, amazing loss of mid body fat.Slipped a little from Holidays and trucking.Still doing way better than before as I think I was headed to the diabetic issues.I used to be able to eat a dozen donuts in a day easy.I have sausage and eggs or bacon eggs or smoked salmon and eggs for breakfast every day now,,in fact I got up late and having it now.Knocks it out of the park compared to cereal of years ago.
I stopped soda years ago,was a case a week of Coke guy in my 40's.No sugar in drinks,no sugar substitute as it can be worse for you.Still once in a while stop at MCd and get an unsweet ice tea and a large fry but this is once a month at most,,trucking causes.I still eat a lot of veg and fruit .very little bread and very few potatoes.maybe a beer a month as it doesnt help keep my brain sharp the next day,not sure why...hehehhe,,I feel better than years ago.Holidays are very difficult to stay eating correctly as gifts of food and gatherings.Soda should be the first to go.IMO
