Ashburn, GA, (very close to Heaven!) | Southern Baptists are a denomination of Christianity, not a "religion". Christianity, by the definition of the world, is the "religion". Religion is Man's attempt to reach God; Christianity is God's attempt to reach Man. Many religions teach about a man who became a God; Christianity teaches about God becoming a man.
There will be plenty of Christians of different denominations in Heaven, as some non-denominational Christians there. I don't know what your church teaches, but if it is teaching from the Bible, that is what it should be teaching. While I am a member of a Southern Baptist Church, I look forward to singing praises with Catholics, Methodists, Presbyterians, and other Christian brothers and sisters. Churches are full of people you describe. There are lots of bad folks who need a Savior in churches, and some outside of churches as well. Many outside the church feel they are just "as good as some in the church" and may be right about that. I go to church for the teaching, the fellowship with other believers, and the worship. I am not worthy to be a member of the body of Christ, because I am one of those crooks that doesn't deserve Heaven or Grace, but I cling to the promises of both.
